Amendments and Comments.
THE STATES allowed the Treasurer of the States to be present in the Chamber during the consideration of the Budget.
THE STATES resumed consideration of the Budget 2004, and decided to allow the following estimates of revenue expenditure and income of the following Committees, as detailed in the undermentioned pages of the Budget –
P o licy and Resources Committee – Pages 6 to 10
P r ivileges and Procedures Committee – Pages 11 to 13
E n vironment and Public Services Committee (Planning and Environment) – Pages 19 to 21
THE STATES commenced consideration of the estimates of the revenue expenditure and income of the Environment and Public Services Committee (Public Services), and rejected an amendment of Deputy Celia Joyce Scott Warr en of St. Saviour that on page 23 of the Budget the estimate of revenue expenditure of the Environmen and Public Services Committee (Public Services) be increased from £18,831,300 to £19,895,300 by adding £1,064,000 to the estimate for buses.

THE STATES, having further considered the estimates of the revenue expenditure and income of the Environment and Public Services Committee (Public Services), decided to allow the said estimates as detailed in the undermentioned pages of the Budget as follows –

THE STATES commenced consideration of the estimates of the revenue expenditure and income of the Economic Development Committee, and granted leave to Deputy Geoffrey Peter Southern of St. Helier to withdraw his amendment, (P.166/2003 lodged "au Greffe" on 18th November 2003), that on pages 28 and 29 of the Budget the estimate of revenue expenditure of the Economic Development Committee be increased from £18,537,500 to £18,721,500 by adding £184,000 to enable the dairy industry to provide free school milk.
THE STATES resumed consideration of the estimates of the revenue expenditure and income of the Economic Development Committee and rejected an amendment of the Connétable of St. Helier that on pages 28 and 29 of the Budget the estimate of revenue expenditure of the Economic Development Committee be reduced from £18,537,500 to £18,187,500.
THE STATES, having further considered the estimates of the revenue expenditure and income of the Economic Development Committee, decided to allow the said estimates as detailed in the undermentioned pages of the Budget as follows –
