Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society – presentation of Bronze

The Deputy Bailiff informed members that the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society had presented a bronze of the Island breed of dairy cow to the Bailiff , which would be publicly displayed in an appropriate place within the States Building.

Public and Private Sector Housing Rental Subsidy Schemes: income disregard – rescindment – P.5/2004

THE STATES resumed consideration of a proposition of Deputy Geoffrey Peter Southern of St. Helier requesting them to refer to their Act of 16th July 2003, in which they approved amendments to the Public and Private Sector Housing Rental Subsidy Schemes with effect from 1st January 2004, and to rescind paragraph (e) of their Act in which they agreed that the income disregard allowance for Invalidity and Disability benefits should be removed over a period of 3 years by making a one-third reduction each year, and, after discussion, rejected the proposition.
