Matters noted – land transactions
THE STATES noted an Act of the Finance and Economics Committee dated 13th May 2004, showing that, in
pursuance of Standing Orders relating to certain transactions in land, the Committee had approved –
a s recommended by the Environment and Public Services Committee, the cession from Millbrook Crescent
Limited of an area of land (measuring 33.88 square metres/365 square feet) adjacent to Millbrook Manor and adjoining La Route de St. Aubin at Coronation Park, St. Helier (as shown on Public Services Departmen Drawing No. RF001), required for road widening purposes, including the construction of a central pedestrian refuge, for a consideration of £365, on the basis that the Committee would also meet the cost of the works to be undertaken and would be responsible for the payment of the legal fees of Millbrook Crescent Limited up to a maximum of £1,500.

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Senator Edward Philip Vibert concerning a vote of censure against Senator Frank Harris on Walker , having adopted a proposition of Senator Jean Amy Le Maistre that Standing Order 23(5) relating to the time and manner of speaking be suspended in order to allow Senator Frank Harris on Walker the right to speak a second time immediately before the reply of Senator Edward Philip Vibert .
Change in Presidency
The Bailiff retired from the Chair during the consideration of the proposition of Senator Edward Philip Vibert concerning a vote of censure against Senator Frank Harris on Walker and the meeting continued under the presidency of Mr. Michael Nelson de la Haye, Greffier of the States.
Adjournment
THE STATES then adjourned, having agreed to continue consideration of the proposition of Senator Edward Philip Vibert concerning a vote of censure against Senator Frank Harris on Walker , together with the other outstanding matters of public business the following day, Wednesday 19th May 2004.
