Freedom of A1. The Committee, with reference to its Act No. A1 of 15th June 2005, recalled information: that it had decided to lodge au Greffe' an amendment to its proposition entitled, P.72/2005. Freedom of Information: proposed legislation'.

The Committee received a draft report and proposition entitled, Freedom of A.G. Information: proposed legislation – Amendment'. It noted that the proposition would Clerk insert the words subject to further consultation' and be broadly based upon' in G.O.S. paragraph (b) of the proposition, and would therefore serve to clarify the manner in P.R.C.C. which the Committee intended to bring forward the proposed Law. Further P.R.E.O. consultation with the Policy and Resources Committee, and other interested parties, Pub.Ed. would take place during the course of the law drafting process on various matters S.G. including resource implications, the imposition of criminal sanctions, the right of States (2) non-residents to access information and the matter of whether an exemption should
be provided to cover the more sensitive aspects of employer and employee relations.
The Committee, having made several minor amendments to the wording of the accompanying report, approved the amendment and agreed that it should be lodged au Greffe' on 21st June 2005.
The Greffier of the States was requested to take the necessary action.
States Building: A2. The Committee, with reference to its Act No. A12 of 9th June 2005, recalled Sub-Committee that it had decided to form a Sub-Committee on Security of the States Building.

concerning the decision to form the aforecited Sub-Committee. It was clarified that Clerk Deputy J.B. Fox and Deputy C.H. Egré had both agreed to serve on the Sub- G.O.S. Committee and that it had been estimated that the necessary work could be completed Pub.Ed. by mid July 2005.

The Committee approved the Statement and noted that it would be delivered to the Assembly on 21st June 2005.
The Greffier of the States was requested to take the necessary action.
Senator P.V.F. Le Claire, having expressed concern at the manner in which the decision had been taken to form the Sub-Committee on Security of the States Building, requested that his dissent to the Committee decision be recorded.
