Standing Orders A1.  The  Committee, with  reference to  its  Act  No. A4  of  20th October  2005, of the States of recalled that it had requested the Greffier of the States to produce a draft Comment to Jersey: Draft the Draft Amendment (No.3) to the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey, as lodged Amendment au Greffe' by Deputy G.C.L. Baudains of St. Clement.

450/2(1) The Committee considered a draft Comment to the Draft Amendment (No.3) to the

Standing Orders of the States of Jersey. Having reviewed the draft, the Committee Clerk. agreed that it reflected the views expressed by the Committee on 20th October 2005. G.O.S.

The Committee approved the Comment and requested that it be presented to the States at the next available opportunity.

The Greffier of the States was requested to take the necessary action.

Deputy C.J. Scott Warr en considered that there was a need for detailed consideration of the need for qualified majority voting for propositions to move to the next item of business and in other areas of the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey. As the comment did not include a direct call for such a review, Deputy C.J. Scott Warr en requested that her dissent to the Committee decision be recorded.
