States of Jersey A1.  The Committee received and considered a report from the States of Jersey Complaints Complaints Board on the findings of a complaint against a decision of the Minister Board - findings: for Education, Sport and Culture relating to a nursery school place.

a decision of the The  Committee  was  advised  that  in  accordance  with  Article  9(9)  of  the Minister for Administrative Decisions (Review) (Jersey) Law 1982, as amended, it was required Education, Sport to present to the States a copy of the report from the States of Jersey Complaints and Culture Board.

nursery school The Committee noted that the Complaints Board had been convened to review a place. complaint  made  by  Ms.  M.  McCartney  against  a  decision  of  the  Minister  for 1386/2/1/3(13) Education, Sport and Culture not to offer a nursery place for her child at St. Martin's Encl. Primary School, or elsewhere.

The Committee having considered the report accordingly approved the same and requested that it be presented to the States at the earliest opportunity.

The Committee Clerk was directed to take the necessary action.

Senator  M.E.   Vibert ,  as  Minister  for  Education,  Sport  and  Culture,  declared  an interest and did not participate in this decision.
