Goods and Services Tax: Zero-Rating for Foodstuffs, Books, Newspapers and Magazines – P.169/2007

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Senator Ben Edward Shenton concerning the zero-rating of foodstuffs, books, newspapers and magazines and rejected an amendment of Deputy Kevin Charles Lewis of St. Saviourthat in paragraph (a) of the proposition, after sub-paragraph (ii) there should be inserted the following new sub-paragraph –

" ( iii) clothing for children up to the age of 14.".
