Matters arising. A1. The Committee noted the following matters arising from the Minutes of its
meeting held on 12th December 2007 –
- P ublic Elections (Jersey) Law 2002: proposed amendments (Item A2 refers) – the Committee noted that Deputy J. Gallichan had met with Ms. N. Southouse, Corporate & Intellectual Property Services Officer, Judicial Greffe and had obtained details of the number of electors voting between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. during the Senatorial elections in 2002. Further enquiries were being made to establish whether similar figures were available for 2005; and,
- V oter registration campaign for the 2008 elections (Item A4 refers)
– the Committee was advised that it was now possible for it to submit an application to utilize uncommitted funds from the previous year in support of a registration campaign and, further, that the necessary draft letter was being prepared for signature by the Chairman.
