THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of the Deputy of Grouville concerning the exemption or zero-rating for foodstuffs and domestic energy from Goods and Services Tax and rejected an amendment of Senator Leonard Norman that in paragraph  (a), sub-paragraph  (i) the words"in line with United Kingdom Value Added Tax arrangements as set out in the Appendix" should be deleted.
