Draft A1. The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A1 of 24th April 2009, Amendment (No. considered the Draft Amendment (No. 11) of the Standing Orders of the States of 11) of the Jersey. Standing Orders
of the States of The Committee noted that the minor amendment to Standing Orders would give Jersey. formal effect to the decision of the States on 30th April 2009, when members adopted FILE the proposition of the Deputy of St. Martin (P.40/2009) and agreed that the period for 450/2/1(13) oral questions with notice should be extended from 90 minutes to 2 hours. The
Committee noted that the draft amendment would replace the 4 references to 90 minutes in Standing Orders with references to 2 hours.
The Committee recalled that, as indicated during the debate, it intended to consider separately the issue of how oral questions without notice that remained unanswered after the 2 hour period should be dealt with, and whether the current provision in Standing Order 63(9) that such questions were taken to have been withdrawn' should be amended.
The Committee accordingly approved the Draft Amendment (No. 11) of the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey and requested that it be lodged "au Greffe" at the earliest opportunity.
The Greffier of the States was directed to take the necessary action.
