Provision of A1.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A4 of 22nd October 2009, States members' received a draft comment of the Committee in respect of the proposition: Provision of lunches at certain States members' lunches at certain meetings and car parking, lodged "au Greffe" by meetings and car Senator S.C. Ferguson on 7th October 2009 (P.171/2009 refers).

(P.171/2009) The  draft  comment  set  out  the  Committee's  support  of  the  move  to  re-instate 1240/9/1(89) scrutiny,  Public  Accounts  Committee  and  Privileges  and  Procedures  Committee 1240/9/1(115) lunches, as the cost would be met from existing resources and it was often more

efficient not to disrupt a meeting in order to break for lunch. In respect of part (b) of the proposition, the draft comment advised that the Committee felt the matter should be referred to the States Members' Remuneration Review Body for consideration as part of the remuneration package at its next review.

The Committee accordingly approved the comment, and requested that it be presented to the States at the earliest opportunity.

The Committee Clerk was directed to take the necessary action.
