Electoral A1. The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A6 of 14th March 2012, Commission: received a draft report and proposition in connexion with the proposed membership. membership of the Electoral Commission.

(3) The Committee recalled that the States had agreed on 7th March 2012 that the Electoral Commission should be comprised of 3 members of the States, together with 3 other persons who were not members of the States, to be appointed by the States on the recommendation of the Privileges and Procedures Committee. In accordance with the decision of the States, the selection process had been overseen by the Jersey Appointments Commission and it was proposed to nominate Dr. J. Renouf ; Professor E. Sallis, O.B.E. and Mr. C. Storm as members of the Electoral Commission.
The Committee, having had regard for the appointments process, and having considered the draft report and proposition, accordingly requested that the proposition be lodged au Greffe for debate by the States in early course. The Greffier of the States was requested to take the necessary action.
