Arrangement A1. The Committee considered the arrangement of public business for the of public forthcoming States sitting on 5th November 2013.
business.
1240/7/1(1) It was agreed that, due to the large number of propositions and amendments
concerning the composition and election of the States which had been lodged for debate on 5th November 2013 (P.93/2013, P.94/2013, P.98/2013, P.116/2013 P.117/2013 and associated amendments refer), the Committee's proposition Commissioner for Standards: establishment' (P.107/2013) should be deferred until 19th November 2013. It was further agreed that members should be invited to consider deferring any propositions which were not felt to be time-critical. The Committee Clerk was requested to take the necessary action.
The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A6 of 3rd October 2013, recalled that it intended to consider the presentation of a comment to the States in respect of the proposition of Deputy M. Tadier entitled: Public Elections: Single Transferable Voting System (STV) and an Alternative Voting System (AV)' (P.86/2013 refers) once the outcome of the aforementioned reform debates was known. It was noted that Deputy Tadier 's proposition was scheduled for debate on the same date as those relating to reform and the Committee would therefore be unlikely to have sufficient time to consider and agree a comment prior to the debate. Deputy Tadier was not minded to defer debate of the proposition at the present time.
