Public  A1.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. B1 of 3rd October 2013, Elections:  received a draft comment in connexion with the proposition Public Elections: amendments to  amendments to legislation and administration (P.110/2013) - amendment', lodged legislation and  au Greffe' by the Comité des Connétable s on 23rd October 2013.

(P.110/2013) –  The Committee considered the draft comment and agreed to accept and reject the amendment.  proposed amendments of the Comité as follows:

465/8(8)

  1. to accept the amendment in paragraph (1) which would provide that only those registering for the first time could have their name added to the supplementary register;
  2. to accept the amendments set out in paragraph (2) (i) and (ii) relating to notification cards;
  3. to reject the amendments set out in paragraph (3) (i) and (ii) regarding voting  for  long-term  sick  and  disabled  persons  and  prisoners  on remand;
  4. to accept the correction proposed in paragraph (4);
  5. to reject the amendment to place candidates' photographs in a polling station, rather than in the voting booth.

The Committee, having approved the draft comment, requested that it be presented to the States at the earliest opportunity.
