Arrangement of public business for the current meeting

THE STATES adopted a proposition of Senator Paul Francis Routier that the States adjourn for lunch and that nominations for the role of Chairman of the Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel be taken prior to the adjournment.

Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel: appointment of Chairman

In accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 120(1), the Deputy of St. John nominated Deputy Louise Mary Catherine Doublet of St. Saviour as the Chairman of the Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel.

There being no other nominations, the Bailiff declared that Deputy Louise Mary Catherine Doublet of St. Saviour had been duly appointed as the Chairman of the Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel.

THE STATES re-assembled after the lunch adjournment under the Presidency of Mr. Michael Nelson de la Haye, O.B.E., Greffier of the States.

Environment, Housing and Technical Services: appointment of Chairman

In accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 120(1), the Connétable of St. Martin nominated the Connétable of St. Helier as the Chairman of the Environment, Housing and Technical Services Scrutiny Panel.

There being no other nominations, the Presiding Officer declared that the Connétable of St. Helier had been duly appointed as the Chairman of the Environment, Housing and Technical Services Scrutiny Panel.
