The Deputy Bailiff announced that Her Majesty The Queen had approved the appointment of Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, GCB, LLD (Hon.), DSc. (Hon.), BSc., FRAeS, CCMI as the Island's next Lieutenant Governor and that he would be taking up his appointment in early 2017.

  1. the existing text should be renumbered as paragraph (1).
  2. After the renumbered paragraph (1) there should be inserted the following paragraph –

" (2) The States may by Regulations make such amendments to any enactment as appear to the States to be expedient –

  1. for the general purposes, or any particular purpose, of this Law;
  2. in consequence of any provision made by or under this Law; or
