Nursery funding: implementation of proposed changes P.39/2016

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade and, adopting an amendment of Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade (P.39/2016 Amd.(2)), agreed that for the words "until such time as –" there should be substituted the words "to cut the provision of free nursery hours to those earning a combined income of over £75,000 a year.", and paragraphs (a) and (b) should be deleted.

THE STATES resumed consideration of the proposition of Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade , as amended, and rejected a proposition of Deputy Louise Mary Catherine Doublet of St. Saviour that, in accordance with Standing Order 83(1)(a), the matter should be referred back to Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade , in order that further information relating to the proposition could be provided to the Assembly.

THE STATES commenced consideration of the Draft Proceeds of Crime (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Jersey) Regulations 201- and adopted the principles.

THE STATES, having been informed that the relevant scrutiny panel had indicated that it did not wish to scrutinise the draft legislation, adopted Regulations 1 to 5.

THE STATES, in pursuance of Articles  1(9), 36(2) and 42A of the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999 and Articles 1(2), 11(4) and 44 of the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008, made Regulations entitled the Proceeds of Crime (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Jersey) Regulations 2016.
