THE STATES resumed consideration of a proposition of the Minister for Social Security entitled Draft Employment (Amendment No. 10) (Jersey) Law 201-' and, adopting paragraph 1 of an amendment of Deputy Samuel Yves Mézec of St. Helier , agreed that Article 5 should be deleted, and Articles 6 to 14 renumbered accordingly.

Following the adoption of paragraph 1 of the amendment of Deputy Samuel Yves Mézec of St. Helier , the Deputy Bailiff informed the Assembly that Article 5 of the Draft Employment (Amendment No. 10) (Jersey) Law 201- was deemed to have been withdrawn.

THE STATES commenced consideration of Article 15 and, adopting paragraph 2 of an amendment of Deputy Samuel Yves Mézec of St. Helier , agreed that Article 15 should be deleted and Articles 16 to 19 renumbered accordingly.

THE STATES adopted Article 16.

THE STATES commenced consideration of Article 17 of the Draft Employment (Amendment No. 10) (Jersey) Law 201- and, adopting paragraph 3 of an amendment of Deputy Samuel Yves Mézec of St. Helier , agreed that, in Article 17 for "Article 13(b)" there should be substituted "Article 12(b)".

THE STATES commenced consideration of Article 19 of the Draft Employment (Amendment No. 10) (Jersey) Law 201- and, adopting paragraph 4 of an amendment of Deputy Samuel Yves Mézec of St. Helier , agreed that, in Article 19 –

  1. in paragraph (a),  for "Articles 13(b) and 17"  there  should be substituted "Articles 12(b) and 15";
  2. in paragraph (b), for "Articles 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12(b), 13(a) and 16" there should be substituted "Articles 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11(b), 12(a) and 14".

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Deputy Geoffrey Peter Southern of St. Helier regarding possible links between financial institutions registered in Jersey with Panamanian legal firm Mossack Fonseca (P.42/2016).

THE STATES acceded to a request of Deputy Geoffrey Peter Southern of St. Helier that the proposition entitled Financial institutions registered in Jersey: links to Panamanian legal firm Mossack Fonseca' (P.42/2016 lodged au Greffe' on 26th April 2016) be withdrawn.
