Pedestrian Crossing outside La Moye School: petition P.61/2018
Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade presented to the States a petition to request the Minister for Infrastructure to ensure that a zebra crossing was installed outside of the entrance to La Moye School, St. Brelade , before 1st September 2018, to improve the safety of pedestrians in this area.
THE STATES referred the petition to the Minister for Infrastructure and Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade lodged "au Greffe" a proposition to the effect that the prayer of the petition be granted.

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of Deputy Samuel Yves Mézec of St. Helier entitled Minimum Wage: amendment of States Act dated 21st April 2010' (P.121/2017) and, adopting an amendment of the Council of Ministers (P.121/2017 Amd.(2)), agreed that after the words "the minimum wage should be set at 45% of average earnings by the end of 2020" there should be inserted the words –
"and, after the words "requested the Employment Forum to have regard to this objective when making its recommendation on the level of the minimum wage to the Minister for Social Security", insert the words "; and further requested the Council of Ministers to investigate and propose a programme to deliver productivity improvements in low paid sectors, with outline proposals to be delivered in April 2018, and a detailed plan by December 2018".
