Minutes A1. The Minutes of the meetings held by the Committee on 9th April (Part A), 16th
April (Part A and Part B), 26th April (Part A), 30th April 2021 (Part A) and 6th May 2021 (Part A) having previously been circulated, were taken as read and were confirmed.
Forthcoming A2. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A2 of its meeting of 19th April business for 2021, considered forthcoming business for debate by the Assembly.

Assembly. The Committee noted that its Proposition entitled States Members' Remuneration'
(P.40/2021) was due to be debated on 8th June 2021. Senator T.A. Vallois advised that the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel had discussed the Proposition and asked whether the Committee would hold a briefing for all States Members so that any queries could be addressed. The Committee agreed that a briefing would be organised and requested the Principal Committee and Panel Officer to make the necessary arrangements.
Update on A3. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A3 of its meeting of 19th April work of the 2021, received and considered a paper by the Principal Committee and Panel Officer Sub- regarding an update on the work of the Sub-Committees. The Committee noted the Committees. following updates:
Election Observers Sub-Committee – The Proposition entitled Draft Constitution of the States and Public Elections Law 202-' (P.17/2021) represented the first tranche of changes in relation to the composition and election of the States. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. B1 of its meeting of 17th May 2021 noted that the second tranche, Draft Public Elections (Amendment) Law' was due to be lodged on 8th June 2021.

Political Awareness Education Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates.
States Members' Pensions Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates and that it was anticipated that the Sub-Committee would next meet in the autumn.
Diversity Forum Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates.
States Members' Remuneration Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that the Sub-Committee had concluded its work through the Proposition entitled States Members' Remuneration' (P.40/2021).
Democratic Accountability and Governance Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that the Sub-Committee had held meetings with The Progress Party and the Sustainable Jersey Group, and was due to meet the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Public Service on 3rd June 2021. It was anticipated that the Sub-Committee would organise a workshop with all States Members in due course.
