Minutes.  A1. The Minutes of the meetings held by the Committee on 17th May (Part B), 18th

May (Part A and B), 4th June (Part A), 7th June (Part A) and 8th June 2021 (Part A) having previously been circulated, were taken as read and were confirmed.

Forthcoming  A2. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A2 of its meeting of 18th May 2021, business for  considered forthcoming business for debate by the Assembly.

Assembly.  The Committee noted that the Order Paper had included the Proposition entitled Island

Plan 2022 - 25: Approval' (P.36/2021) lodged by the Minister for the Environment on 19th April 2021. The Proposition had not been listed against a date in 2022 because the States Assembly's meeting dates for 2022 had not yet been confirmed.

The Committee, with reference to Minute No. B4 of its meeting of 18th May 2021 recalled that it had agreed to a request by the Minister for the Environment that the Proposition was tabled for debate on Monday 14th March 2022. The Committee requested that the States Assembly website should specify the agreed date to avoid any confusion as to when the debate would take place. The Assistant Greffier (Chamber and Members' Support) was requested to take the necessary action.

Update on  A3. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A3 of its meeting of 18th May 2021, work of the  received and reconsidered a paper by the Principal Committee and Panel Officer Sub- regarding an update on the work of the Sub-Committees. The Committee noted the Committees.  following updates:

Election  Observers  Sub-Committee   The  Proposition  entitled  Draft  Elections (Miscellaneous Amendments) Law 201-' (P.56/2021) represented the second tranche of changes in relation to the composition and election of the States. The Committee noted that the Proposition was due to be debated on 20th July 2021 alongside a number

of changes to Standing Orders of the States of Jersey (P.66/2021).

Political Awareness Education Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates.

States Members' Pensions Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates and that it was anticipated that the Sub-Committee would next meet in the autumn.

Diversity Forum Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that the Diversity Forum had organised a speed networking event due to be held at the Town Hall on 28th June 2021.

Democratic Accountability and Governance Sub-Committee the Committee noted that the Sub-Committee was due to hold a meeting with all States Members on 23rd June 2021 in order to encourage greater engagement in the review.
