Commissioner  A1. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A1 of its meeting of 30th April for Standards -  2021, was advised that a Freedom of Information (FOI) request had been received Report into a  seeking the correspondence from the Chief Minister and Senator K.L Moore submitted complaint  for the investigation by the Commissioner for Standards into the Chief Minister's against Senator  complaint against Senator Moore .

Freedom of  The Committee was advised that both items of correspondence were retained by the Information  States Greffe, therefore, the FOI request was valid and required action. The Committee request  was further advised that the Chief Operating Office also held the letter by the Chief

Minister, and, in that regard, the Chief Minister had confirmed he was content for his letter to be released.

The Committee recalled that when the Commissioner's report on the investigation was published,  it  had  agreed  not  to  publish  the  appendices,  which  followed  standard procedure.

Given the Chief Minister's confirmation that his letter could be released, the Committee agreed that it would publish both items of correspondence, subject to confirmation by Senator   Moore .  The  Assistant  Greffier  (Chamber  and  Members'  Support)  was requested to correspond with Senator Moore and to take the necessary action thereafter.
