R&O 62/2004

This Order provides for the closing of public roads and places to enable the holding of the Jersey Battle of Flowers, that is

  1. t he Battle of Flowers on Thursday 12th August 2004; and
  2. t he Moonlight Parade on Friday 13th August 2004.

The Order also sets out certain conditions relating to these closures. The Order was made on 1st July 2004.

R&O 63/2004

The effect of this Order is to allow the St. Martin 's Gymkhana and Fête Committee to use Gorey Pier for the purpose of holding the Gorey Fête on Thursday, 19th August 2004.

It also authorizes the Fête Committee to temporarily close the site to traffic and impose temporary traffic restrictions in other roads, in connection with the fête, between Tuesday, 17th August 2004, and Friday, 20th August 2004.

The Order was made by the Environment and Public Services Committee on  1st July 2004, on the application of the Fête Committee and after consultation by the Committee with the Connétable s of Saint Martin and Grouville and the Harbours and Airport Committee.

Article 1 is the interpretation provision.

Article 2 amends the Third Schedule, which lists the parts of roads at which waiting is prohibited. Article 3 amends the Sixth Schedule, which lists the parts of roads at which waiting is restricted.

Article 4 is the citation provision and specifies that the Order will come into force 7 days after it is made. The Order was made on 1st July 2004.

R&O 65/2004

Article 1 amends the Medicines (Prescription Only) (Jersey) Order 1997 so as to provide that a person who provides ampoules of sterile water while acting on behalf of a service provided on behalf of the States for the purpose of enabling the supply of syringes and associated products so as to reduce the spread of disease does not commit an offence against Article 57(2)(a) of the Medicines (Jersey) Law 1995. That Article makes it an offence to supply, otherwise than under a prescription, certain medicinal products.

Article 2 is the citation Article and specifies that the Order will come into force 7 days after it is made. The Order was made on 5th July 2004.

Article 1 amends the Misuse of Drugs (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1989 so as to provide that a person who supplies syringes and associated articles while acting on behalf of a service provided by or on behalf of the States for the purpose of enabling the supply of syringes and associated articles so as to reduce the spread of disease does not commit an offence against the Misuse of Drugs (Jersey) Law 1978.
