Explanatory Note regarding subordinate legislation tabled at this meeting. (See Item B)

This Order gives effect to Council Regulation (EC) No. 765/2006 of 18 May 2006 concerning restrictive measures against President Lukashenko and certain officials of Belarus (OJ No. L134/1, 20.5.2006), as last amended by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 271/2011 of 21 March 2011 (OJ No. L76/13, 22.3.2011). That Regulation amends the list of persons, entities and bodies whose funds and economic resources are frozen.

This Order replaces the Community Provisions (Belarus Sanctions) (Jersey) Order 2007, updating the provisions on the sharing of information, and in particular making express provision for the sharing of information with the Jersey Financial Services Commission for the purpose of assisting it to achieve compliance with the Council Regulation.

The Order was made on 24th March 2011 and came into force on 25th March 2011. R&O.35/2011.

This Order amends the Community Provisions (Restrictive Measures– Guinea) (Jersey) Order 2010 to update the list of persons whose funds and economic resources are frozen, as that list is substituted by Council Regulation (EU) No. 269/2011 of 21 March 2011. It also takes the opportunity to make express provision for sharing of information with the Jersey Financial Services Commission, where the exercise of its functions may assist in achieving compliance with the EU Regulation.

The Order was made on 24th March 2011 and came into force on 25th March 2011. R&O.36/2011.

This Order gives effect in Jersey to Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 288/2011 of 23 March 2011 implementing Article 16(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) No. 204/2011 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya (OJ No. L78/13, 24.3.2011). The Council Implementing Regulation amends the list of persons and entities listed in Council Regulation (EU) 204/2011 of 2nd March 2011 against whom restrictions are imposed, in view of the situation in Libya.

The Order was made on 25th March 2011 and came into force on 26th March 2011.
