REPORT

The Employers' Side membership comprises 5 representatives of the States and one representative of the Connétable s.

The  Employers'  Side  represents  the  Executive  in  negotiations  with  Unite  Union (TGWU Section) on Manual Workers' pay and conditions of service. The nominations for the States' representatives have been based on the fact that they are Assistant Ministers or Chief Officers of departments employing significant numbers of Manual Workers. Until a permanent replacement has been appointed to the position of Chief Officer, Health and Social Services, in order to maintain a consistent approach, it is intended that the Acting Chief Officer of Health and Social Services fill the position.

Financial and manpower implications

There are no financial or manpower implications arising from this proposition.
