  2. W  ould the Presidentalso confirm that the redevelopmenton the rezoned siteto the eastof Jambart Lane, St. Clement will include the new road connecting with the Grande Route de St. Clémentasputforwardas one of the main reasonsfor choosing that site?

  1. T h e mixof social rent and first time buyerhomeson sites rezoned for housing in the 2002 Island Plan will be in accord with the decision ofthe States, as set out in Policy H1of the Island Plan (attached at Appendix 1).

POLICY H1 PROVISION OF HOMES

T h e Planning and Environment Committee will make provision for sufficient land and opportunities to meet

the requirements for homes over the Plan period.

T h e Plan allows for 2,860 homes to be built over the first five years of the Plan period of which 1,850 will be

for Category A homes and 1,010 will be for Category B homes. Land will be rezoned to ensure that sufficient land is available to meet the requirements for Category A homes in the first five years to 2006.

D  evelopers of sites designated in the Plan specifically for the construction of Category A housing in Policy

H2, will be required by the Planning and Environment Committee to provide first-time buyer homes and social rented homes in the respective proportions of 55% and 45% of the total number of dwellings provided on each site, in order to ensure that the identified needs for housing are met.
