ANSWER TO BE TABLED ON TUESDAY 31st JANUARY 2006 Question
Would the Chief Minister inform members-
( a ) what remit or specific areas of responsibility have been assigned to the thirteen Assistant Ministers
within the executive.
( b ) when he will be publishing the full list of ministerial responsibilities as required by Article 30 of the
States of Jersey Law 2005?
( c ) how the list will be published and, in particular, how the States will be informed in the future of any
amendments to the list, particularly in relation to the functions of the Assistant Ministers?

- S p ecific areasof responsibility are currently beingassignedto Assistant Ministers, and it is envisaged that this process will becompletedin the next weekorso.
- I n accordance with Article 30 of the States of Jersey Law, a list will be published as soon as the responsibilities of Assistant Ministers have been fully assigned.
- T h islist will bepublishedin the form of an R' (Report). The States willbekept informed ofany future amendmentsto the list, and this will be done by either a statement to the Assembly or the publicationof a further R'.
