Will the Minister advise –

  4. the predicted date ofthecompletion of the investigation?
  5. the predictedtotal cost of the investigation?

  1. The appointmentwas made on the 4thSeptember2009.
  2. It isnot appropriate for me to answer this section of the question due to confidentiality issues.
  3. The amount paid to the Wiltshire Constabulary from commencementofthe investigation into Operation Blast to 31st December2009was£155,465.Itshouldbenoted that there has been some overlap ofcosts with the investigation into the suspensionofthe Chief Officer of the States of Jersey Police asOfficers from Wiltshire Constabularyhave been working on both investigations and sharing resources such as travel andaccommodation.
  4. The Deputy ChiefExecutive has advised that the scheduled date for the completionof the Wiltshire Constabulary investigation is the end ofJanuary2010,which hopefully will beachieved.
  5. Based on the above completion date the predicted total cost of the investigation by the Wiltshire Constabulary into OperationBlast is £197,700.
