Question

Following the Chief Minister's Speech on 10th October 2018 to the Chamber of Commerce, where he announced "sustainable savings" in the public service of £30 million, and stated that "the States is currently carrying around 600 vacancies, and has a staff turnover rate of 12%", will the Chairman provide –

  1. a detailed breakdown of where these vacancies exist, by department;
  2. a breakdown of these vacancies by pay grade and current wage;
  3. a statement of which of these vacancies currently involve payments by the States to an employee acting up' into the position; and
  4. a breakdown of any further planned job losses, if separate from these 600 vacant posts, by department?
