21.   Deputy K.F. Morel of St. Lawrence will ask the following question of the Minister for Health and Social Services (OQ.50/2021):

"Will the Minister advise the Assembly of the expected date, and anticipated cost, of the removal of the Nightingale hospital at Millbrook?"

The following response was provided in writing in accordance with Standing Order 63(9) as the oral question was not asked before the end of the time allowed for Oral Questions:

The intention is that the Nightingale will remain in situ until at least the end of June. Its presence is reviewed regularly in light of data about the efficacy of the vaccine and our general resilience.

The current estimate for the costs of removing the Nightingale wing if it was decommissioned by 30th June would be approximately £2.7 million.
