WQ.427/2021

WRITTEN QUESTION TO THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE BY DEPUTY R.J. WARD OF ST. HELIER

QUESTION SUBMITTED ON MONDAY 25TH OCTOBER 2021 ANSWER TO BE TABLED ON MONDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2021

Question

Will the Minister advise what annual return to parent company HCT group is written into the contract held by the Government of Jersey with Liberty Bus?

Answer

There is no specific annual return "written into" the Bus Operator Contract. The Contract places the revenue risk on HCT Group as the operator, with their reward for agreeing to take this commercial risk being the ability to earn a profit from its operation of the Jersey public transport network.
