Question
“Further to recent visits and inspections of Clinique Pinel, will the Minister advise the Assembly of the anticipated completion date of work on this facility, including a breakdown of the completion dates for each phase of work?”
Answer
I wish to thank the contractor for providing a comprehensive tour of the Clinique Pinel construction site for Deputy Pamplin and Deputy Le Hegarat on the 4th of April. The site was a hive of activity with more than 20 tradespersons on site who were working hard to complete Phase 1 of the project as soon as possible.
As stated in my response to OQ.62/2022 provided to assembly on Monday 25th April 2022 the anticipated date for the completion of Phase 2 of the Clinique Pinel Project is September 2022.
• Phase 1 - Ground Floor is planned for anticipated completion in May 2022
• Phase 2 - First Floor is planned for anticipated completion in September 2022
The overall completion of the project, which will result in a fit for purpose facility finished to a high standard, is dependent on the successful completion of both phases by the anticipated dates.
I also wish to thank the patients and staff on Cedar Ward whose ongoing forbearance during this disruptive period of the refurbishment of Clinique Pinel is much appreciated.
