10th March 2019

Dear Chief Minister

Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel – Papers of the Emergencies Council

In light of the outbreak of COVID-19, and the news that the first case of Coronavirus has been confirmed in Jersey, I am writing to you to request that the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel are provided with all papers provided to the Emergencies Council assembled under the Emergency Powers and Planning (Jersey) Law 1990 for its meeting on Thursday 12th March 2020 related to COVID-19.

Subsequently, I ask that all minutes relating to COVID-19 arising from this meeting are also provided to the Panel.

Should this meeting be brought forward then please consider this request to still apply to the new meeting date.

This is so that the Panel may understand and properly scrutinise any actions made by the Council and be aware of how the decisions made by the Council have been reached.

Due to the urgency of the situation I ask that this information is provided immediately (in confidence).

Thank you in advance for your consideration. Yours sincerely

Senator Kristina Moore

Chair, Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel
