States Greffe: Scrutiny

Deputy Susie Pinel

Minister for Treasury & Resources

By email

29th July 2020 Dear Minister

Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel Memorandum of Understanding - States-owned entities

The Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel (the Panel) would like to request a copy of the new Memorandum of Understanding which has been adopted by the Government of Jersey with the States of Jersey Development Company and other states-owned entities in 2020. The Panel understands that the Memorandum of Understanding sets out the formal calendar of meetings, flow  of  information requirements,  agenda  items  for  each  shareholder  update  meeting  and includes succession planning and remuneration information which the Panel is keen to examine.

The Panel would also be most grateful to receive copies of the minutes from the shareholder update meetings between the Government of Jersey and each States-owned entity to provide additional clarity, to the Panel, on the shareholder relationship and expectations.

I look forward to your response and would appreciate it if this could be received by Friday 7th August 2020.

Yours sincerely

Senator Kristina Moore

Chair, Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel
