Senator Kristina Moore
Chair, Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel
BY EMAIL
26 January 2021
Dear Chair,
Thank you for the Panel's letter of 22 January 2021.
I appreciate your comments regarding the need for a further update on the Office Accommodation Project.
You will recall in my last correspondence on 14 January 2021 I explained the need to postpone the Scrutiny meeting due to some last minute and unexpected commercial issues that needed to be resolved.
Following COM today, I am now in a position to brief the Panel and would suggest we find a mutual time next week.
One point of clarity, you refer to having not had sight of the outcome of the review of the impacts of COVID-19 on the principles of the Strategic Outline Case for the new office building. I am somewhat surprised at the request as, I understand both this report and the on-going procurement activity report were sent to your official on Tuesday 22 September 2020. However, I have attached these documents again for completeness.
In reference to the written report referred to in the Ministerial Decision MD-PH-2021-0001, this report is no longer valid and has been rescinded.
I have asked my office to liaise with your officials to find a suitable, mutually agreeable time in our diaries as outlined above.
Yours sincerely,
Senator John Le Fondré Chief Minister
