Senator Kristina Moore

Chair

Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel

18 October 2021

Dear Senator

Changes to the Objects and Purpose of the Ann Alice Rayner Fund (P.92/2021)

Thank you for your letter of 15th October addressed to the Minister who is currently on leave due to a family bereavement.

On behalf of the Minister, I am happy to accept the change of debate date, although I confirm this delay with disappointment as it will, at a minimum, postpone the award of grants to needy individuals and complicate the process of transition.

The proposed changes to the Ann Alice Rayner Fund have been advertised extensively to interested parties for comment (via public advertisements and direct letters) and similar changes to the parallel Greville Bathe Fund have been scrutinised and approved by the Royal Court today.

I will provide a detailed response covering the other matters that you have raised. Yours sincerely

Deputy Lindsay Ash

Assistant Minister, Treasury and Resources
