Senator Kristina Moore

Chair

Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel

16 March 2021

Dear Senator Moore ,

Thank you for your letter dated 12th March 2021 in which you seek confirmation regarding the date of receipt of documentation regarding the recommendations for the Fiscal Stimulus Fund.

The Fiscal Stimulus Oversight Group (FSOG) have now completed Stage Three of the appraisal process [P.128/2000], subject to final advice relating to capacity in the construction sector and QS review of bids, and are working towards the final report for my consideration. This will allow me to review the recommendation alongside other relevant information which will include comments from the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel as set out in Stage Four of the appraisal process.

There is a briefing to the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel on the FSOG recommendation tomorrow which will include a discussion on the business criteria and the projects that were considered at business case stage. It is the intent to provide the following documentation to the Panel after the briefing:

Summaries of Tranche One business cases including evaluation summary

Scoring matrices by department for Tranche One business cases

List of projects recommended for funding and those not supported at this stage

Total list of applicants at Expression of Interest stage (Shown by Proceed and Not Proceed)

Based on the Stage Four process I would welcome your comments by the 24th March 2021. Yours sincerely

Deputy Susie Pinel

Minister for Treasury and Resources
