13th January 2022 Dear Minister
International & Trade Advisory Group (ITAG) – Minutes
Thank you for forwarding to the Panel a copy of the ITAG Minutes dated 21st September 2021. The Panel has a number of concerns around the minutes and would be grateful if you could clarify the following:-
• You state that Jersey is engaging fully in the technical design of Pillars 1 and 2. Could you provide some background as to how Jersey is engaging fully?
• Are there any areas where you believe there could be further engagement?
• Could you provide examples of the areas that would be considered for an optional common approach' in regards to implementing Pillars 1 and 2?
• Could you explain what a significantly expanded set of indicators for updating the Global Markets strategy' entails as noted in Item 4c - Horizontal Refresh?
• Could you explain the process for employing new staff members within the Jersey London office and in particular the new Head of European Relations?
We look forward to hearing from you and if you have any further questions regarding this matter or our work in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
