8th August 2022

Dear Minister,

Review of the Regulation of Jersey Estate Agents

As part of its work programme over the coming months the Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel will be following up on findings and recommendations made to Ministers by its predecessor during the previous term of office.

Your predecessor presented Ministerial Response S.R3/2022 to the then Panel's report of the Regulation of Jersey Estate Agents. We note that ten recommendations were made to the Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture and whilst one was accepted, the remainder were deferred for consideration in Q3 2022.

We  would  be  grateful  if  you  could  provide  an  update  as  to  the  status  of  the  deferred recommendations, together with a timeline as to when these may be implemented, if at all.

If you have any questions regarding this or our work in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Deputy Moz Scott

Chair
