20th October 2022

Dear Chief Minister

Review of the Our Hospital Project (OH)

The Scrutiny Liaison Committee (SLC) met on 18th October 2022 and one of the areas of discussion  was  any  follow  up  to  the  recent  briefing  given  to  the  SLC  by  the  Minister  for Infrastructure and officers within the OH Team on the mid way point of the Future Hospital Review.

SLC has previously asked a number of questions on the OH project and has received written responses however, we have a further question around the stakeholders engaged for the review and the process this involved. Could you inform us how the stakeholders were selected and what consultation, if any, was undertaken for stakeholder engagement prior to selection. In addition, the SLC also raised concerns that the stakeholder list provided to it did not include any clinical or patient user groups. Could you explain why these groups were not included in the list and the reason for this.

We would be grateful if we could receive this information prior to our final briefing on the review on 31st October before the report is finalised and presented to the Assembly.

Yours sincerely,

President

Scrutiny Liaison Committee

cc Minister for Infrastructure
