Regulation of Public Appointments: An Independent Jersey Public Appointments Commission Consultation

The Panel notes that the consultation on proposals to replace the Jersey Appointments Commission (JAC) with a new independent body ended on the 14 February 2022. The Panel are aware that these proposals are phase 1 of a number of proposed changes to the Employment of States of Jersey Employees (Jersey) Law 2005.

The Panel would be grateful if it could be provided with responses to the consultation to replace the Jersey Appointments Commission with a new body corporate called the Jersey Public Appointments Commission as well as the timetable for the anticipated lodging of phase 1 proposed changes and a timetable for subsequent proposed phases.

The Panel look forward to your response and would appreciate it if this can please be received by Wednesday 23rd February 2022.
