The Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel (the Panel) has recently discussed P.42/2022 Draft Probate (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 202- [the Proposition] and would be grateful for the provision of further information. As such could you please provide:

Consultation  documentation  issued  during  the  production  of  the  Proposition  and responses received.

Confirmation of how the figure of £1,000 was agreed for the value at which an item may be buried or cremated with a deceased person; and,

Clarification of what review took place of other jurisdiction's approach to subjects covered in the Proposition and how this compares with the proposal.

The Panel looks forward to your response and would appreciate it if this could be received by Wednesday 6th April 2022.

Yours sincerely

Senator Kristina Moore
