13th January 2022 Dear Minister

Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel Enveloped Property Transactions Tax Review

In its letter to you dated 6th January 2022 the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel [the Panel] advised you that it would be undertaking a review of the Proposition [P.119/2021] Draft Taxation (Enveloped Property Transactions) (Jersey) Law 202-.

The letter requested that a copy of the economic analysis report to support the Proposition be provided to the Panel by the 12th January 2022 as a vital component to the Panel's review work. The Panel also advised you that any delay in the Panel receiving the economic analysis report would result in a need to request a delay in the date of the Assembly debate.

Unfortunately, the economic analysis report has not been received by the 12th January 2022 and therefore the Panel would like to formally request that the debate of the Proposition be delayed to the next States sitting (1st March 2022) in order that it can complete its review.

The Panel would appreciate you confirming the delay to the Assembly debate by Friday 14th January 2022.

Yours sincerely

Deputy Steve Ahier

Vice Chair, Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel
