Proposed Government Plan 2024-2027 Review Hearing – Further Information Requests

The Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel would like to thank you for your participation in our review hearing on 13th November 2023. It was noted during the hearing that certain information and data would be shared with us following the hearing. As such, the Panel would appreciate to receive this information as outlined below.

Data from the Government’s consultations with the motor trade industry used to inform the relevant Budget proposals.

Current  data  and  trends  regarding  mortgage  pressures  being  felt  by  Islanders  from Government's discussions with the banks.

Current number of Islanders being impacted by mortgage pressures.

Data that influenced deciding against halting the phased removal of mortgage interest tax relief.

Data demonstrating the shift to electric vehicle purchases in 2023 as a result of the increases to vehicle emissions duties across all bands.

A breakdown of the revenue expenditure (how 2023 funds have been spent) in 2023 for the Healthcare Facilities.

A breakdown of unspent reserves for 2023 and how any unspent reserves will be used in 2024.

Considering the timeframe that the Panel is working to for this review, the Panel would be grateful to receive this information as soon as possible and by no later than Tuesday 21st November 2023. It is the Panel’s intention to publish the response it receives on the States Assembly Website. Therefore, please advise whether any of the information shared should remain confidential.
