Offshore Wind Review Panel

The Offshore Wind Review Panel has been established to scrutinise the Government's proposals for an offshore wind farm in Jersey waters. The Panel's main objective will be to consider future policy and legislative proposals brought forward by Government arising from the States Assembly decision in 2023 to, in-principle, pursue the opportunities arising from the development of a wind farm.

Government is currently drafting legislative proposals which will outline how Jersey might build a wind farm and the conditions and requirements that would need to be considered. Once the draft legislation has been lodged in the States Assembly, the Panel will launch its review and a call for evidence which will include holding public hearings and inviting submissions.
