  1. Work Programmes and Activity Reports

a)  To note the Work Programmes and Activity Reports for the various Scrutiny Panels:

To note the Work Programme and Activity Report on the work of PPC.

To receive and discuss the GLP showing lodging and proposed debate dates.

  1. Scrutiny Proceedings

Agenda Item requested by the Chair of the Economic and International Affairs Panel The Chair will make the following proposals to the committee:

  1. Amendment to Standing Orders to compel the removal of panel membership from a Member who is subject to a complaint being considered by the Commissioner for Standards, should the view of the Commissioner for Standards dictate the conduct merits such action.
  2. Exploration of extending the provision for ‘lay members’ to be appointed beyond the PAC to include other panels within the Scrutiny function.
  1. Meeting with SLC President, Vice President and Chief Minister
  1. To discuss areas of discussion for the next SLC President, Vice President and Chief Minister due on [TBC] 2023.
  2. To consider the feasibility and merits of the Committee holding occasional public hearings with the Chief Minister.
  1. Future Meetings

To note the Committee’s next scheduled meeting will be on 11th July 2023 at 1.30pm in Le Capelain Room, States Building and will include a meeting with the Chair of the Diversity Forum (PPC) Sub-Committee.
