1. Item 1 08/11/06. | Planning and Environment Department Public Consultation on Archaeology and Planning. The Panel received and approved its draft response to the Planning and Environment Department Public Consultation document on Archaeology and Planning. It requested that it be forwarded to the Planning and Environment Department to meet the consultation deadline. RD, KB. SP | MR |
2. Item 6 02/11/06. | Design of Homes Website development for public consultation. The Panel recalled that it had previously authorised the graphic design and the development of a questionnaire for the Design of Homes Review. It was advised that the lead member had subsequently discussed dissemination and public engagement with Orchid Communications. The lead member having considered a number of options decided to seek a quote from the Scrutiny Web developers to produce a software template to allow on line completion of the questionnaire together with a data collation back office document. The total cost for the interactive questionnaire and data collation was £950. The interactive questionnaire would then be used as the basis for an email campaign through large local companies to target 20-35 year olds who may not normally participate in the Scrutiny process. The Panel noted that the questionnaire could appear on the website in its current PDF but that this would require the handling of hard copy by the target audience and the officers. It was estimated that the work would take 8 days and that the template would provide a basis for future similar projects. The Panel decided that the Chairman and the lead member should meet with the developer to ensure that any expenditure would represent value for money. RD, KB, SP. | MR |

3 | Fact Finding Visit. Deputy P.N. Troy was welcomed to the meeting. The Panel considered an invitation from the Chairman to Deputy Troy to join the Panel on the fact finding visit. Having considered the views of the Panel Members, the Chairman agreed that it was more appropriate that Deputy Troy did not participate. On consideration of the visit to Malmo and Vienna, the Panel decided that there was so much work to be done in Vienna that the Malmo section would be too much to do in one visit. The Panel would attend the GovNet Sustainable Development UK Conference in London on Tuesday 28th November, Cardiff Material Recycling Facility the following day and then Vienna. The Panel would return to Jersey on Sunday 2nd December 2006. RD, KB, (SP Left during this section) | MR |
