| Consultation access to and Use of Buildings The Panel considered a consultation document from the Planning and Building Services inviting it comment on the document entitled Building Bye-laws (Jersey) Technical Guidance Document Part 8 Access to and Use of Buildings dated November 2006. The Panel noted that the deadline for the response was 31st December 2006. It requested that an extension be sought and Officer confirmed that the Department had agreed to an extension to at least the 4th January 2007. The Panel outlined the concerns that it had with regard to the document and suggested that it had not incorporated many of new technologies on offers and did not represent a very forward thinking approach to the design of dwellings and other buildings.
