The Panel recalled that it had approved the Heads of Report and that work on drafting the full report had begun. The Panel was advised that the Chairman had spoken to the Comptroller and Auditor General about the review and had received suggestions as to lines of enquiry that could potentially be followed.

Action Updates and Matters Arising The Panel was advised that the Chairmen's Committee had considered the schedule that had been agreed in relation to development and scrutiny of the Annual Business Plan. The Officer was requested to forward the document detailing the agreed way forward to Deputies J. Gallichan and S. Pitman. The Panel noted the actions undertaken in response to requests made at its previous meetings. The Panel was advised that a Member had expressed an interest in joining the Panel. It was agreed that in the first instance the Chairman would speak to the Member concerned. It was noted that the Chairman would be away from 3rd to 14th January 2008 and that Deputies Gallichan and Pitman would continue work on Panel business during that period. | WM |
| 8. Forthcoming Propositions The Panel noted that no propositions had recently been lodged by the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture or the Minister for Home Affairs. |
