| 1. Minutes The Committee approved the minutes of the meetings of the 15th September 2008 (Parts A and B) |

| 2. Third financial quarter The Committee received and noted the third financial quarterly report. |

| 3. Panel Reports The Committee received and noted the Panel reports. It was also noted that, as part of its review into Urban Regeneration, the Environment Panel was considering a map of the town area to determine how it could best be regenerated. It was further noted that the work of the Public Accounts Committee was ongoing with an adviser having recently been engaged to assist with the review into the States of Jersey Insurers. |

Correspondence from the Privileges and Procedures Committee regarding Machinery of Government reforms The Committee approved a draft response to correspondence from the Privileges and Procedures Committee, dated 17th July 2008. The response had taken into account the views which had been expressed at the away-morning on 26th September 2008. | KTF |
| 5. Legacy report The Committee considered a draft legacy report which, after a number of amendments, was approved. It was agreed that the internal review into working practices and other Panel legacy reports would be included with the legacy report for the next Chairmen's Committee. | KTF |
| 6. Home and Lifestyle Exhibition Panel Chairmen were requested to encourage their Panel Members to sign up to attend the Home and Lifestyle Exhibition. |

Citizenship programme The Committee was advised that the Head of Evaluation and Standards, Education Department had already started to consider the 2009 citizenship programme and that consideration should be given to a suitable topic. Dialogue will ensue with the Scrutiny Manager as necessary. | KTF |
| 8. Date of next meeting The Committee noted that it was next scheduled to meet on the 7th November 2008. Given the proximity of that meeting date to the current meeting it was agreed that the next meeting would be held on 14th November 2008. |
